The End of the GOP and Disaster for America Looming

The Republican Party has a plan:

12-20 illegal Mexicans given Amnesty. They bring in their familiy members. Let's say 2-5 each. That's another....you do the math. I never liked math....

The Last Nail in the GOP's Coffin
By David Frum

"In recent days, Republican(Liar Kyl) and Democratic Senators acting with the support of the White House concocted a deal on immigration that grants amnesty in all but name to the 12 million illegal aliens inside the United States. The deal also proposes large increases in legal immigration, PLUS a temporary worker program to import hundreds of thousands of low-wage workers for two years at a time.

The President's poll numbers tumbled to some of the lowest levels seen in his presidency, under 30 percent.
Bush is in trouble because his own party does not trust him to enforce border security.

Of the estimated 12 million illegals in the United States, four million have arrived since he became president. Bush has made clear in hundreds of speeches that he would prefer to solve this problem with an amnesty in all but name for existing illegals--and higher limits on future immigration.

By working so hard for an amnesty, the President sent a powerful signal to would-be migrants all over the planet: Get in while you can, your green card will arrive soon.

The post-2000 surge of illegals has imposed heavy costs all over the United States. The median American worker earns less today than in 2000, in considerable part because of the wage lowering effects of immigration.

Taxpayers have had to bear heavy new burdens. The state of North Carolina paid an estimated $10 million to educate the children of illegals in 1995; $210 million in 2005. Illegals cost every household in the state of California an estimated $300 per year in extra state and local taxes."

Mexicans boo Miss USA, showing discord
By JULIE WATSON ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER

MEXICO CITY -- Many here south of the border reveled in her disastrous evening: First Miss USA Rachel Smith slipped and fell on her bottom during the Miss Universe evening gown competition. Then she was booed by hundreds in the Mexican audience.

The treatment of the Tennessee beauty queen was nothing personal. It had more to do with Mexico's sometimes tense relationship with its powerful northern neighbor.

U.S. athletes have sparked a similar response. In 2005, when the U.S. played Mexico during a World Cup soccer qualifier, the crowd booed the U.S. national anthem and a smattering of fans chanted "Osama! Osama!" during the game.

Smith was booed repeatedly during her stay in Mexico, including last week, when she carried a guitar and wore an Elvis-style suit during a parade of national costumes held in downtown Mexico City.

She kept her poise during an interview Monday night with pageant judges, despite the boos and chants of "Mexico! Mexico!" that drowned out her answer"

420 Million: America’s New Population Boom Smart Growth can cut congestion, pollution in emerging ‘supercities’ By Keith Schneider

"By 2050, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, 420 million people will live here, 140 million more than in 2000.

Immigration will drive much of the growth, demographers say. The Hispanic population will almost triple, from 35.6 million to 102.6 million"

In the meantime, another illegal immigrant, doing a job we Americans just won't do:

A 27-year-old day laborer admitted in court Thursday to abducting and sexually assaulting his 7-year-old neighbor at a Southside apartment complex.
"I know what I did," said Jonathan Castillo, speaking through a Spanish translator in Marion Superior Court. "I was drunk, and I can't just fix things just because I'm drunk."

The victim underwent surgery after the attack early Tuesday and remained in Riley Hospital for Children on Thursday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Sgt. Matthew Mount said.

Prosecutors asked that Castillo's bond be increased to $250,000, citing the risk to the community and a flight risk because Castillo is an illegal immigrant. Castillo had told Rubick he is a dual citizen of Mexico and Honduras and works as a day laborer.

Castillo also has prior convictions for two felonies -- theft and residential entry -- as well as driving while intoxicated and domestic battery, records show..."
